Orange Blossom Syrup-Ground Recipe

Since tomorrow is Sunday, I'm in the mood for some deserts!!!I'm going to make this syrup first today and will have it ready for tomorrow, anyway this can be prepared 2 to 3 weeks in advance and can be stored in the fridge.This syrup recipe can be used with almost anything, on top of cakes, pies and especially with BAKLAVA and Katayef, a Lebanese desert (pancake filled with creme or with walnut) and topped with this syrup, recipe to follow...




Ingredients:
2 and 1/2 cups of sugar
2 cups of water
2 teaspoon of lemon juice
2 teaspoon orange blossom water (from any middle east market)

Preparation:
Mix sugar, water and lemon juice in a pan on medium heat. Once it starts to boil, turn the heat to low and let it boil for about 18 minutes. If you like a thick syrup then let it boil for an additional 2 to 3 minutes. Turn the heat off, put orange blossom water, remove the pan from the heat and set aside.
